Most rigid box closures rely on friction or a hinge — a magnetic closure is different. Embedded magnets in the lid and base pull the box shut on their own, with no tab to align or lid to press into place. That difference matters more than it might seem: a magnetic box can be opened and closed repeatedly without wearing out or loosening, which is exactly the scenario a lot of rigid packaging goes through — a subscription box opened for a reveal video, a retail display case handled by staff dozens of times a day, a gift box a recipient opens and closes admiring the contents.
We use embedded magnets sized to the box — strong enough to hold the lid securely shut in transit, without making the box difficult to open by hand. Magnet placement is built into the structural design at the die-line stage, not added after the fact, so the closure feels integrated rather than bolted on.

How strong is the magnetic closure? Magnets are sized to hold the lid securely during shipping and handling while remaining easy to open by hand — we size them to your specific box weight and dimensions.
Does the magnet wear out with repeated use? No — unlike friction-fit closures, magnetic closure doesn’t loosen or degrade with repeated opening and closing, which is why it’s a common choice for retail display and subscription unboxing.
What’s the minimum order for magnetic closure boxes? Orders start from just 100 boxes.
